  • This is a great area for birdwatching:  look for migratory birds, eagles and hawks.

  • Go blueberry picking!  they are plentiful in the park and roadside (in season)

  • Get a close up look at local lobster boats

  • Enjoy the expansive open ocean views at Ile-Aux-Foins Park.  The park includes a network of walking trails and interpretive panels, all on the beaches of the Atlantic ocean. 

  • Tour the shops and sites in Miramichi. Visitor options include such places as French Fort Cove and Ritchie Wharf.

  • A twenty minute drive north will take you to the welcoming Acadian town of Tracadie-Sheila
